Roofing and Siding in Newman Village

Built between 2009 and 2019 behind a guardhouse off Eldorado Parkway near the Dallas North Tollway, Newman Village is the 2010s cohort in one place: roofs between seven and seventeen years old, none at full age, all of them there for the storm of March 14, 2024.

A Young Neighborhood and One Date

No roof here is old enough for a replacement conversation on age alone. What matters is the evening of March 14, 2024, when the Storm Prediction Center logged a 1.75-inch hail report two miles west-northwest of Frisco and a 2.5-inch report at Eldorado Parkway and FM 423, west of the Tollway, and the Weather Service confirmed a brief tornado near the UNT Frisco campus. Where exactly the largest stones fell relative to any one street is not something the reports say, which is why the answer is an inspection, not a map.

A 2024 roof installed after that storm is the other common case here, and the question on it is workmanship.

Build years, gated access, guardhouse, location and home sizes (2,941 to 7,564 square feet): neighborhoods.com listing page for the community, a secondary real estate source, read October 2026. Large Plans, Many Features

Homes here run from about 3,000 to more than 7,500 square feet, with the box-outs, bay windows and dormers the city's ordinance allows in fiber cement. On a house of this size that is a lot of upper-story siding and a lot of roof-to-wall flashing, and the two trades meet on every elevation.

Fiber cement on features: City of Frisco Zoning Ordinance, Chapter 63, Subsection 4.07.09 (Ordinance 2021-07-47), as published on eCode360, read October 2026.

Gate and Association

The community is gated with a staffed entrance and published association fees. Crews, trailers and deliveries need arrangements, and exterior changes need review. This site found no published exterior rule and states none.

Questions From Newman Village

My roof is from 2015. Could it be damaged?

It was on the house on March 14, 2024, when hail of 1.75 inches and more was reported in and west of Frisco. Only an inspection says whether your slopes were hit.

The house is still under the builder's warranty. Who do I call?

The builder first, for anything the warranty covers. A contractor's inspection report is useful in that conversation.

Is the roof too new to need anything?

Age is not the issue here; weather is. A young roof with a bruised slope needs the same attention as an old one.

Does the guardhouse slow the job?

It adds planning. Tell the contractor about the gate on the first call.
