Roof and Siding Pages for Frisco Houses
Seven pages on the roof and five on the walls and trim above the brick. Each one says what the contractor does on that kind of job, what it costs you in questions, and what is particular to Frisco about it.
Start With the Symptom
Roof
- Roof replacement
- The 2000s builder roof at twenty, or any roof a contractor has called finished.
- Roof repair
- A slope, a valley, a ridge or a patch, on a roof that otherwise has years left.
- Roof leak repair
- A stain or a drip, and the search for where the water really enters.
- Hail damage roof inspection
- After one of the dated storms on the record page.
- Pre-sale and insurance roof inspection
- When a buyer, a seller or a renewal letter wants a written opinion.
- Impact-rated shingles
- What the classes mean before choosing the next roof.
- Flashing and pipe boots
- The small parts that give out first on a fifteen-year-old roof.
Siding and trim
- Siding replacement
- Gables, upper walls and chimney chases past the point of patching.
- Siding repair
- A split board, a soft corner, an open butt joint.
- Fiber cement siding
- The material Frisco's ordinance names for upper stories.
- Upper-story and dormer siding
- Why Frisco siding is a ladder job, and what that changes.
- Fascia, soffit and trim
- Peeling and soft wood at the roof edge and around the openings.
Why One Site Covers Both
On a Frisco house the siding starts where the roof does. The ordinance that put brick on the first floor put fiber cement on the gables and dormers above the roofline, so the boards that need attention are the ones a roofer stands next to. A re-roof that leaves a rotted dormer cheek untouched, or a siding job that ignores the step flashing behind the new boards, is half a job. The two trades meet at the same line on every house here, and this site treats them that way.
Say what you see. The request goes to a contractor who does the kind of work it needs, whether that is roofing, siding or both.
